UF-TOOLS CSR Program | Visiting Children with Special Needs Through Care & Companionship

Some children experience the world in a quieter, gentler way.

They may speak less, express joy differently, or need more time to open their hearts—but in their clear eyes lives the same longing for love, connection, and understanding as any child.

On November 29, from 10:00 to 12:00, our team had the privilege of visiting the Siqi Special Children Development Centerfor a meaningful companionship activity dedicated to children with special needs. It was a simple two-hour visit—but it became a deeply moving memory for everyone involved.

Two Hours of Pure, Simple Happiness

That morning, what awaited us was not a complicated schedule, but the simplest and most sincere form of kindness: being present.

We spent time with the children:

• making small handicrafts together,

• playing interactive games,

• listening to their laughter,

• and telling them stories with patience and warmth.

Some children were shy at first. Some needed time to feel safe. But slowly, smiles appeared. Little hands reached out. Laughter filled the room. In those small moments, we witnessed something extraordinary—the quiet power of trust and connection.

Every Gift Was Given Freely, Every Kindness Was Respected

Before the activity, participants were invited to bring small gifts or make voluntary donations if they wished—colored pencils, picture books, safe snacks, or simple daily-use items. There was no required amount, because we believe that kindness should never be measured by money.

All donated materials and funds were used entirely for the day’s activities and for the children’s daily needs. Every contribution was carefully recorded and transparently disclosed, because every act of goodwill deserves respect and clarity.

Yet beyond any gift, one truth became especially clear that day:

The most valuable donation a child can receive is not an object, but sincere companionship.

What We Gave — And What We Received

We often think that charity is about “giving.”

But that day, we realized it is just as much about receiving.

From these children, we learned:

• how to slow down,

• how to listen with our hearts,

• how to find joy in the smallest things,

• and how powerful gentleness can truly be.

They may experience the world differently, but their sincerity, warmth, and ability to love are stronger than we ever imagined.

This visit was not a grand gesture.
